As I wandered into my living room to start sorting more piles of tax receipts strewn all over the living room floor, I decided against it tonight and instead decided to take the directive from this book that I’ve been reading the last couple evenings that was gifted to me by my dear sister in Christ and Colleague Rachelle. Instead I am choosing to Be Still, I’ve been in that place before, where I was absolutely still for about 2 1/2 years. I had to let go of everything in life and simply let God at that time a couple years ago and He weathered me through that season, just as He always does. He is faithful! Letting Him take over was the most peaceful moments of my life, I didn’t let chaos join me in my home. I would come home and just shut it out. It wasn’t allowed. My beautiful IL home became my sanctuary of quietude and prayer, I wrote about it often. Back then I wrote a lot, pretty much daily I was inspired to write. I even started my “God Has You” book, completed up to chapter 5. It’s really good, the plan was to finish it by the ocean in 2017 in Florida. It still awaits me. I ask God to grant me time to finish it one of these days when the dust settles.
I’ve been thinking about my precious father so much lately but too much is happening that I don’t get a moment to really sit, be still and embrace his beautiful memory. My heart misses him more than anything in this world. I long to hear his voice. I talk to his portrait daily. It’s a beautiful portrait, no matter where I stand in the room his beautiful blue eyes sparkle at me and I can see his mischievous grin and hear his chuckle.
Yes, taxes need to get started but I found out through a dear patient last night that I have longer than I thought to complete them. I thought I was under the gun. Well I am but I have a moment to just breathe tonight and I’m going to savor it.
My beautiful daughter Angelica and Nolan’s family are moving to San Antonio from Uvalde tonight, she is excited, her schooling is almost complete, only one hour left in her externship and they wish to hire her on. Tonight I celebrate her accomplishments. My baby is 21 and an amazing, all grown up young woman.
This book, Play With Fire, if you haven’t read it yet, you surely ought to. It’s about the Holy Spirit. Rachelle, it’s a perfect gift, I haven’t put it down for 3 nights until I just finished it. I cried, I cried out to God, and I resonated so deeply with the writer Bianca. Often thought she was me. Did you know? Had you already read it? Thank you my dear for this heartfelt message. ❤️
I rarely partake in a glass of wine or any alcohol, maybe twice a year on a special occasion… but tonight as my hubby is tucked away in bed early, I decided on a glass of sangria, it must be healthy with the loads of fresh fruit I put it in. It’s absolutely beautiful and it’s quite tasty, just one glass, but yes, I filled it to the brim pretty much. I have a lot of toasting to catch up on, it is the New Year! 🎉🎊
So here’s to God first and foremost, my Father in Heaven and on Earth, Jesus my Savior and the Holy Spirit my comforter, here’s to the love, grace and provision that God blessed me with and the protection Jesus covers me with and the everlasting life that He gifts me with and the knowledge and ideas that the Holy Spirit whispers to me as He leads me.
🙏🏽💜🕊
Here’s to my Daddy, oh how I love and miss him so. I haven’t had a moment to really grieve him since my move so tonight I celebrate him and my precious, loving Momma in heaven. They are once again joined, I celebrate their unity. Here’s to my amazing children, daughter-in-laws (they both have my heart), my precious grand babies and Nolan. They are all perfect in my eyes. Here’s to my wonderful husband that loves me through the roller coaster of all of the chaos, confusion, laughter, tears and delight, as I do him as well. Here’s to my Cisco, what’s not to love about my dog, he’s the best dog ever! Here’s to my community, my old tribe and my new friends and those that God will align me with in the days ahead. Here’s to triumphs and trials, as both teach us everything that we need to know and to grow in order to fulfill the divine plan that He has assigned us. Here’s to dreams, to goals and to get-it-dones! Here’s even to taxes. Because we live in a land of freedom, I will embrace paying taxes. Here’s to health…yours and mine, here’s to prosperity in every way possible for you and for me! And lastly, here is to your name. Why? Because God knows your name and you are His precious child. Don’t ever forget that one please! Cheers! 🥂~ Love and blessings to All,
Dr Kimberly Kaye Fogel
Kimberly means from the wood of the Royal Forest. From the Royal Fortress Meadow.
I can only imagine that God sees me as a palm tree. Strong, nothing can bind it, it bends but does not break. Must be why He led me to Florida, my royal forest of palm trees. 🌴🌴🌴
I have Palmetto trees on my property and if you google it, it says pronounced Palm Meadow. Perfect!
What does your name mean? Look it up and comment below!
